Cognism is one of the best-known sales intelligence platforms in Europe. Verified mobile numbers, intent data, and strong coverage in the UK, the German-speaking countries (DACH), and Western Europe make it a tool that many international teams reach for.
But if you sell in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, or other Central European countries, you will run into limits. In the Czech Republic alone, BizMachine Prospector holds records on 867,000 companies, while Cognism does not list Central Europe among its priority regions. According to user reviews on G2 and TrustRadius, contacts for the Czech Republic and Slovakia tend to be sparser than in Western Europe. Detailed company financials are missing, and Cognism does not track signals from local sources (public tenders, vehicle fleet data, insolvencies).
For the Czech Republic and Central Europe, BizMachine Prospector offers the deepest local coverage in this comparison - 11.7 million companies across five countries. Whether it fits you depends on your situation, of course. So we compared 10 tools that sales teams in the Czech Republic actually use or consider instead of Cognism. We look at their strengths and their limits for the Czech market and Central Europe. See what data we have on your market.

We are BizMachine, but we built this comparison on publicly verifiable facts, user reviews, and the real limits of every tool. We aimed for an honest overview that helps you pick a tool for your situation. We rate each tool against six criteria:

➡️ Best for: sales teams selling in Central Europe that need more than just a contact for each company
BizMachine Prospector is a sales intelligence platform focused on Central Europe. It covers 11.7 million companies across five countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Germany) and combines firmographic data, 55+ types of business signals, and contacts for the people who make decisions at each company, with a link to a public source on every record. The data is structured and ready for work with AI agents - Claude or ChatGPT connect to it through the MCP connector. Customers include more than 400 companies across various industries, for example Liftago, BMW Group, and Toyota Central Europe.
Unlike global tools, BizMachine Prospector tracks local signals tied to Central European public sources: public tenders, director changes in the commercial register, vehicle fleet data, vehicle inspection due dates, insolvencies. It can send these signals to your CRM, so the rep does not have to guess when to call. AI Prioritization evaluates the whole segment and assigns each company a value from 0 to 100, with reasons.
For sales teams that sell mainly in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, or Central Europe, the closest alternative to Cognism is BizMachine Prospector. It covers 11.7 million companies across five Central European countries, tracks 55+ types of local business signals, and lists a public source for every contact. Cognism, by contrast, remains the stronger choice for the UK, DACH, and Western Europe.
✅ Strengths for the Czech market:
❌ Limits:
Pricing: annual subscription with no credits, no per-contact fees.

➡️ Best for: smaller teams and individuals in the Czech and Slovak market
Saleskit is a Czech platform with the Merk company database (roughly 4 million entities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia) and a module for identifying company website visitors. It offers basic filtering by industry, size, or location and connects to CRMs (Raynet, Pipedrive, Salesforce, and others). It is affordable even for smaller teams.
❌ Limits: Coverage is only in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, data depth for specialized industries (automotive, e-commerce) is limited, and it supplies personal contacts through a third party.
Pricing: subscription
➡️ Best for: teams that want a database and outreach tools in one place
Apollo.io is a global B2B platform with 230 million contacts and 30 million companies. It combines a database, email sequences, and analytics. It also offers a freemium plan with a basic free version.
❌ Limits: Weak coverage of the Czech Republic and Slovakia - users on G2 and TrustRadius complain that data outside the US is not accurate. Phone numbers for the Czech market are often unavailable or out of date. At higher volumes, costs rise quickly.
Pricing: freemium + paid plans
➡️ Best for: large teams targeting the US that need signals and automation
ZoomInfo is the global leader in B2B data, with a database of more than 104 million companies and 321 million contact profiles, strongest in the US. It offers over 4,000 intent topics, an AI Copilot, and 300+ filtering attributes.
❌ Limits: The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary are not priority markets - users on review platforms (TrustRadius, G2) report that data for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) is not high enough in quality. European data also comes at an extra cost (Data Passport). For smaller Czech teams it is often out of reach on price.
Pricing: annual contract with a credit system
➡️ Best for: reps who need a number for a specific person right away
Lusha is a tool for quickly finding a direct phone number and email for a specific person. The browser extension works directly on LinkedIn or company websites, and the database holds 300M+ contacts. It runs on a credit model.
❌ Limits: Lower data quality in Europe - users on G2 and Capterra report problems with invalid contacts outside North America. Numbers for the Czech market often lead to a customer line rather than a specific person. Revealing a phone number costs 10 credits (email 1 credit) - at higher volumes it gets expensive.
Pricing: free plan (40 credits/month), paid plans by credit volume; current pricing on the Lusha website
➡️ Best for: reps who work mainly on LinkedIn
LinkedIn Sales Navigator lets you search for contacts and companies directly within LinkedIn by role, industry, and size. It tracks job changes in real time. Even an individual can subscribe.
❌ Limits: It does not include company data (revenue, financials, ownership structures), only LinkedIn profiles. It has no connection to the Czech trade register, does not track business signals, and does not allow data export to CSV.
Pricing: subscription (monthly or annual)
➡️ Best for: exporters and manufacturers looking for manager contacts worldwide
Intedat is a global database with 280 million companies across 195 countries, focused on contacts for key people and managers. In the Czech Republic it covers roughly 1.5 million companies. It also offers a service that approaches prospects on your behalf.
❌ Limits: Data depth for Central Europe is lower than with regionally focused tools. No business signals - it does not capture public tenders, expansions, or company changes. Limited filtering options for specialized segments.
Pricing: price on request
➡️ Best for: companies dealing with credit risk, partner verification, and compliance in international trade
Dun & Bradstreet is a global reference source for company data on 600 million companies and other entities. It specializes in credit ratings, ownership structures, and risk management. Through the D&B Hoovers platform, it also offers active prospecting with contacts for company leadership.
❌ Limits: Data for the Central European region may be less current than with providers that specialize in the region. Enterprise pricing is hard to reach for smaller Czech companies. It focuses on financial and legal indicators; it tracks business signals only marginally.
Pricing: price on request
➡️ Best for: financial analysts and risk managers who verify companies
FinStat is a database of Czech and Slovak companies focused on financial data and risk analysis. It covers 1 million companies and 3 million sole traders in the Czech Republic and 637,000 companies in Slovakia. It draws on public registers, financial statements, and the insolvency register.
❌ Limits: It specializes in finance and risk - it does not include business signals (hiring, technology, public tenders). It does not offer personal contacts and only has coverage in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Pricing: Slovak plans from EUR 95/year excl. VAT (Premium EUR 350/year), Czech Premium CZ plan CZK 13,500/year excl. VAT
➡️ Best for: European teams that operate globally and want to know who visits their website
Leadfeeder (formerly Dealfront) is a European platform with a global database of 60 million companies and 400 million contacts. Its main feature is website visitor identification, supplemented by intent signals based on how companies behave on your pages. It is strongest in DACH, Northern Europe, and Benelux.
❌ Limits: For the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland it goes into less depth than local tools. Fewer industry-specific signals for Central Europe (automotive, public tenders, vehicle fleet data).
Pricing: visitor identification from EUR 99/month (basic Lite version free), higher Activate plan from EUR 369/month with annual billing, full platform price on request

In certain situations, Cognism is simply the better choice. If your main market is the UK, DACH, or Western Europe, Cognism has more detailed contact data there. For phone-verified mobile numbers, Cognism is stronger: with its Diamond Data product it reports up to 3x higher connect rates (per Cognism's own data).
For companies that sell in both regions, a combination can make sense: Cognism for the UK, DACH, and Western Europe, and a regional tool (for example BizMachine Prospector) for depth in Central Europe (see the detailed BizMachine vs Cognism comparison). Both tools connect to Salesforce, HubSpot, and Pipedrive.

Cognism is strong in the UK, DACH, and Western Europe. Central Europe (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland) is not its priority region. Coverage of contacts and company data is weaker in Central Europe than in Western Europe, it lacks local business signals (public tenders, vehicle fleet data, insolvencies) and financial data from financial statements. For teams that sell mainly in the Czech Republic or Central Europe, there are tools with more detailed local coverage.
For companies targeting Central Europe (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Germany) that need contacts for company leadership and business signals, BizMachine Prospector is the choice with the most detailed coverage - 11.7 million companies across five Central European countries, including small companies and micro-enterprises. Saleskit covers roughly 4 million entities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. FinStat is strongest for financial data in Slovakia.
Yes. You can use Cognism for outreach in the UK, DACH, and Western Europe (using Diamond Data and verified mobile numbers) and BizMachine Prospector for an overview of the Central European market, local signals, and contacts. Each tool serves a different market - they complement each other, and both connect to Salesforce, HubSpot, and Pipedrive.
Prices vary by model. Subscription platforms (BizMachine Prospector, Saleskit) offer predictable annual costs. Credit platforms (Apollo, Lusha) charge per contact - the price jumps up with volume. Enterprise solutions (ZoomInfo, Dun & Bradstreet) require an individual quote.
All three are strong mainly in the US and Western Europe. Users on review sites (G2, Capterra, TrustRadius) report that contacts outside North America often do not hold up. For the Czech and Slovak market there is less data, and it needs verifying.
BizMachine processes personal data exclusively from publicly available sources, and this data relates to business activity, not the private life of individuals. We carried out a legitimate interests assessment (LIA), on the basis of which we concluded that our processing can be founded on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We update this assessment regularly. For every personal contact, you can see the source and the date of the last verification.
To assess a specific processing case, we recommend consulting your legal team. You can exercise your GDPR rights through the contact listed in the Privacy Policy. BizMachine does not provide legal advice.
LinkedIn Sales Navigator works with LinkedIn profiles, not company data. It lacks revenue, ownership structures, financial statements, business signals, and a connection to the Czech trade register. For networking and finding contacts by role, it is strong. For systematic prospecting with company data, you need a company database.
Focus on three things: the real data depth for your market, a documentable origin of personal data, and the level of support when setting up segmentation. We cover this in more detail above in the section How to choose an alternative: three questions before you sign.
The range is wide. FinStat starts at EUR 95/year excl. VAT (Slovak plans), and Lusha offers a free plan and paid credit plans (revealing a phone number costs 10 credits, so the real cost rises quickly). BizMachine Prospector and Saleskit run on a subscription with predictable annual costs. Enterprise solutions (ZoomInfo, Dun & Bradstreet) require an individual quote. Always confirm the specific price with the vendor.
With BizMachine Prospector, we start with a consultation to find out what your team needs.
